2026 ECA Poster Design Contest under the theme: “No involvement, no sacrifices for the imperialists’ wars”
1. Overview & Objectives
The European Communist Action (ECA) calls for submissions from across Europe and worldwide to participate in the 2026 Poster Design Contest. The contest aims to promote visual expression rooted in anti-imperialist solidarity, opposition to imperialist wars, and resistance against militarism.
2. Eligibility & Participation Rules
- Multiple Submissions: Participants are permitted to submit more than one poster personally.
- Individual &Group Entry: Participants may enter individually or as a group, provided that their work aligns with the spirit of the contest.
- Original Work: All submitted entries must be original creations. Plagiarism or unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material is strictly prohibited.
3. Content & Technical Specifications
a. Content & Language Guidelines
- Required Branding: Every poster must explicitly display the official ECA logo.
- Thematic Slogans: Posters might include slogans reflecting the spirit of the theme or the theme itself.
- Language Options: Slogans can be written in English or in a local language. If a local language is used, a fullEnglish version of the poster should also be submitted.

4. Key Dates & Submission Process
- Submission Window: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026.
- Final Deadline: December 31, 2026, at 23:59 CET (Central European Time).
- Submission Channel: Entries must be sent via email to contest@gmail.com
- File Delivery: For large high-resolution PDF/TIFF files, participants may provide download links (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Nextcloud, etc.) in their submission email.
5. Evaluation, Announcement & Exhibition
- Evaluation:The ECA Secretariat will be responsible for evaluating the posters submitted to the competition.
- Announcement: Winners will be officially announced on the ECA official website and notified directly via email.The top 3 contributions will be awarded by a commemorative plaque.
- Publication: All submissions may be published on the ECA website and used for the ECA’s propaganda activities.
- Exhibition: Selected posters will be printed and publicly exhibited at ECA international events, rallies, and anti-imperialist political campaigns.
6. Copyright & Usage Rights
- Rights & Attribution: Artists retain moral ownership of their original designs.
- ECA Usage License: By submitting an entry, participants grant ECA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, print, reproduce, and distribute the poster for non-commercial political, propaganda, and educational purposes under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial framework.
7.Eligibility & Content Requirements
Submissions that are not consistent with the ECA’s goals, principles and declarations, or that
contain provocative or otherwise inappropriate content will be excluded from the contest.
